Second question, which is best to use solid lifters or hydraulic lifters? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | 1960-62 dropped the front throttle pivot provision needed for a 51 PU. My blog on the subject. If done correctly I like hydraulic, but I am sure just as many like solids. Here is my blog post on hydraulic lifters. The timing plate may need drilling for the front mount with any of these engines.
