Installed the back bumper everything went OK. Then I started on the front, new brackets, new bumper. One bracket, RH, stood out from the fender 7 inches and the other, LH, 8 inches the RH side was 17 1/2 of the floor and the LH was 18 1/4. I can get the 2 outb. bolts in the holes but the inb. ones are off 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Measuring the holes distance on each bracket they are the same, the center holes, C/L on the bumper measure 25 inches. Do I need a BFH to get things to go where they are needed? When everything is mounted what should the outb. bumper tips be from the fenders and C/L to the ground? 53 3100 root

That's gonna vary depending on what tires you're running, tire
pressure, fuel load, conditions of springs, etc. My 3604 is
an example. Although the springs and the frame are the
same, as a 3100, the axle and tires are not. I would expect
it to be higher than a 3100. The outer bumper bolts bolt
C/L is about 17 1/4 on both sides.

The outer bracket would be about 7" from the front of the fender.
If your using the reproduction brackets they are easily bent
up/down/in/out by clamping a long bar/lever to then. I think
the original brackets may have a little more spring to them.

Got the front bumper on OK then had to take the bolts back out to install splash shield. That when to fun began, all the bolt came loose except one, it galled taken the nut off. So, I had to use a grinder to remove the nut, what a pain. Got it off, checked the threads on the bolt, run a thread chaser on them, put anti-seize on all the bolts, everything back together and looks great. 53 3100 root
