My question is how does the vacume line hook up? Of course there was no instructions included with it and my assembly manual, (which I now can't find...must be in the garage) only says that a line comes from the manafold and the other goes to the wiper motor. This seems pertty basic but just so I don't mess it up I want to confirm that this means that the vacume line coming from the manafold that normally goes stright to the wiper motor will now run to the vacume pump on the DA fuel pump and then a line from the DA fuel pump to the wiper motor? Thanks for the help!  | | |
#11080 03/26/2002 4:10 PM | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,904 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,904 | I hooked the vacuum side on the fuel pump to the wiper motor and the outlet side on the fuel pump to the manifold. That way the manifold is working as a fore-pump for the fuel pump. I also oiled the wiper motor. They work great.

Don't sweat it. I put one on my '49 GMC and like Wally said,it works great. As mentioned, take the hose from your manifold to one side of the DA pump. You can tell which side it should be on by hand actuating the pump lever. The side that sucks is the inlet and the side that blows is the outlet. Take the outlet to the wiper motor. If you get them reversed, you'll be able to tell. | | |
