For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 239 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 239 | I have a '55 1st series. Installed a 1962 261 engine with a 1985 5 speed transmission. The speedometer and cable a stock '55 1st series. The speedometer reads 35 MPH when actual speed is about 50 MPH. I heard there is an adapter that attaches to the transmission to give correct. Looking for input on where to buy a conversion part. thanks, Larry
