Where is the correct vin location on a 65 Chevy pickup?I found a tag on the left kick panel that has paint codes and engine information.Is this the correct location of this tag also?Thanks

Iirc, it should be in the left door frame. Can't recall if it's front or back pillar. The factory repair manual will tell you for certain. You can get them from the on-line vendors for $25-30. A very worthwhile tool.

The vin tag is located in the drivers door jam right under the drip rail.

Hi,had a minor panic when I couldn't find mine! It's located right above your head as you get behind the wheel.Actually above the top of the window rubber in the middle of the door openning.This is the one for legal registration. Tom.

65 C10 292/700R4 long fleet...Gettin closer by the day.

Thanks Guys.You all were right on on the location.I was getting it ready to take to the court house to get an out of state bought inspection,and figured I had check the Vin with the title.I Should have done that before I purchased it eek I was getting to the panic stage when I posted this,after I looked all over the truck in the usual spots and no tag.About 1hr after posting I went back out and finally found it.Numbers matched.What a relief.Weird place to put it,but was there.
