Will a 1956 Chevy 235 fit in a 1930 Chevy tudor sedan? And if not what has to be done to make it fit?
Will the 1930 Chevy transmission and clutch bolt up to the 1956 Chevy 235?

Almost nothing can be used from the 1930 207.

I put a 1954 235 in a 1929 a few years back and here is what I used.

*1937-39 truck 3 speed.
*1938-46 truck bellhousing.
*1938-53 flywheel and clutch.
*1936-46 big truck clutch/brake pivot mount.
*modified 19 tooth speedo driven gear.

Your 1956 engine will have the longer lower water pump so that will need attention. I would recommend my water pump adapter for this problem.

I'm considering this swap in my 1929. Does the torque tube bolt right up to the trans without modification? Did you use side engine mounts or is there a way to modify the 235 for front mount? Thanks, -dave
