Any pointers on the best way to remove the steering column , everything else is already out. One guy told me it is nearly impossible to get the cab lined up again when it's put back on . Disconnect the pitman arm and remove the bolts holding the box to the frame. As I recall, there are one or two bolts kind of hidden on the inside of the frame. Whole unit then slides out.

I then proceeded to ignore all info and reunited cab and chassis. Worry faded when I had no problems realigning the front sheetmetal. Somehow I don't think measurements were all that critical as they make out in the manual.

cab around by hand when you need to line up
holes for reattachment. Very easy. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 194 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 194 | I used a racheting web tie down ztrap through the windows and an engine hoist (cherry picker)to pick the cab from the frame. Took it off and reinstalled it by myself.
Just go slow and helping hands always make it easier. | | |
