For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2015 Posts: 33 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2015 Posts: 33 | I'm getting ready to change out a leaky rear differential carrier gasket and leaky pinion seal on my '59 Apache. I'm planning on removing the vent tube and giving it a good cleaning while I'm at it. I've heard a clogged vent tube can sometimes cause gaskets/seals to blow out. I'm wondering if there are any additional tips or lessons learned that I might need to be aware of before I get started? Any and all info is always appreciated.
