I'm getting ready to change out a leaky rear differential carrier gasket and leaky pinion seal on my '59 Apache. I'm planning on removing the vent tube and giving it a good cleaning while I'm at it. I've heard a clogged vent tube can sometimes cause gaskets/seals to blow out. I'm wondering if there are any additional tips or lessons learned that I might need to be aware of before I get started? Any and all info is always appreciated. Thanks!
