I want to restore the red paint inside the emblem before putting it on my '61 Apache but am not quite sure how to do this. Should i sand the old paint and dings out and repaint? What kind of paint should I use?
Thanks in advance..

I think One Shot sign painters' lettering enamel 100-L Vermillion is a close match for the red. It is available in quarter-pint cans at an auto paint store. You can apply it with a small brush and it will flow to a smooth finish when dry.

This would be after I sand the old paint and chrome off our paint over it all? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 86 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 86 | Yes. Just scuff the area to make it smooth, but give the paint something to adhere to....you can either mask off the edges or use a razor blade to clean up the lines.
