I am wonder what products/paints are out there to keep a primer/flat finish. Is Epoxy primer the answer? | | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 232 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 232 | I believe it is actually BC/CC with a flatening agent used in the clear to kill the gloss. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 | There is no panacea one coat primer/paint. The way to protect it properly is to epoxy prime, then base coat (black or gray or whatever), then clearcoat with a flattening agent. The primer is not water or UV resistant and the base coat is UV resistant but not water resistant and will not stick to bare metal. The clear is water/uv resistant.

Never hold your farts in. They travel up your spine and into your brain...that is where crappy ideas come from.
