the replacement do not come with the drivers side cowl

My 50 truck has the original panel, but it isn't in the best of shape. All the replacement panels I have found, inner and outer, are not prepped for the vent. Has anyone modified their replacement inner and outer panels so they will have the operational vent as on all 47-50 trucks?
EDIT: I just found one with the louvers. All I have to do is cut a slot in it for the handle.

A coworker gave me some advise. He said to cut out as little original metal as possible. Of course you have to cut back to good metal to weld to. So on the inner and outer I just cut the bottoms out. ...pic... Those cowl bottoms rust out. Many of us have done that repair. Good to find out that patch panel has the lever cut out now. | | |
