The bracket for the pump bolts to my small block, but the pump hits the engine and the frame. Not much play. Does the pulley line up? More info. Long water pump may change other pulley alignments. Donor parts or a universal kit? Some Chevy motors (like yours) have the Alt on driver side, same side as pump. I don't like that idea. You may find that moving alt to pass side will give you options for pump bracket/mounting modifications. Just a thought. Of course, if you get the proper donor brackets for the year motor you have, they should work unless the motor never had PS.

Never thought of moving the alternator, but I want to put the ac pump on that side.Thank you bartamos for the help.
