I wanted it to look old but function as my other flat beds do. I used 10" channel and cut arch from the frame rials out. I then added holes for the look. We galvanize a lot of stuff with my business and I had this galvanized before remounting it. I had the oak boards milled to a true 2"X8". I will more than likely replace them in a year or two as the quality wasn't what I expected. I like the look of the arched rear I-beam. Galvanizing is a cool touch that most people don't have the access to do. It will make it more unique. One of the main reason I like the old trucks is you just don't see them everywhere. Keeping them vintage looking and usable is whats driving me in my project as well. | | |
