I got two trucks with partial grills and bought a donor grill off ebay to fill in the missing pieces.
On the 1939 / 40 trucks theres like 16 V shaped bars that go down the front of the truck. I have 7 on one grill unit and 9 on another. My donor grill is to fill in the blanks.
Theres a chainsaw like side piece with notches for each grill to sit in on both sides (and one center support bracket) of the radiator support core running down - then the the side piece of the individual grill insert bends over as a tab and is spot welded on back. Any suggestions on how to best seperate those bent tabs and spot welds without ruining the bars themselves

He said you take a screwdriver and start prying. Thats probably what I will end up doing - but who knows what other people tried and have had success with - just thought I would ask before diving in.
