In my latest "Classic Truck" magazine, there's an ad for grills to fit these trucks. I was under the impression nobody reproduced these grills. Tuckers Parts is the vendor offering them if anyones interested.www.tuckersparts.com

On their website, in their almost unreadable "New Online Store" page is a "New Parts" product category. In "New Parts" is a $1,200 chromed 1954/55 complete front grill (all pieces chromed, not as done originally). It is a restored original grill that has been chromed ("TRIPLE NICKLE PLATTED CHROME, WHICH IS LIFETIME GUARRENTEED"). All pieces of the grill have been chromed. It does not look like the inner bars have been painted white.

When you take into consideration how hard it is to find all 7 parts of that grill [ in rechromable shape ] & the cost of rechroming.....

A grand is actually pretty cheap for that grill.

Heck Fire! I will sell my 54 grill (painted) and go with the full monty look for $1K. That will make the management very happy unless I spend it on the 59 waiting in the wings.

I guess I just set my price didn't I?
