For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2015 Posts: 26 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2015 Posts: 26 | I can not find diagrams or replacement parts to my 1955 1st series 3100. The seat will not adjust. I want to remove it and inspect the under side. What should I be aware of? Is there a web site for replacement parts? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | Not a lot of moving pieces under the 51-55 1st seat? Usually they just need cleaning or new grease. I am not aware of any vendor selling parts for rebuilding them. Clean and lube them, make sure the small adjustment lock spring is intact and the rod is there that connects the two tracks for release. There is a grommet that holds the rod to the seat frame which is available in reproduction. https://www.flickr.com/photos/advance-design_parts_co/12315510004/in/set-72157640522200463 | | |
