I have T&C horns and a bracket for the '46 Chevy 1/2 ton project. I am uncertain it is the correct bracket. I need a photo of the installed horns, bracket and mounted assembly. Please.
Thank you.

I don't know if it's germane to the '46 but here's the bracket on my '38.

Thank you, Tiny.

The bracket attached to these horns is different. It appears to bolt to the firewall. The bracket is trapisoidal shaped with four mounting holes, one in each corner. Only 3 of the holes seem to match corresponding holes in the firewall. I'll get a pic and post a link. I don't know if it's correct.

Tiny: That might be the best looking horn bracket ever. Thanks....might not be the "correct" thing for my truck, but it might be the next thing for my truck.

Here's a link to a photo.

T&C Horns and bracket

In looking at the Accessories Book the bracket does not match, but I also understand that reference should not be used as "proof". Apparently, the photos were not always changed to reflect year to year changes.

I have the same bracket as Tiny's 38 on my 39. In 1939 the city/country horns were the same for passenger cars and trucks except the truck had a bolt on extension on one side. In 1940 they were called town/country. I have a switch on the dash that says city/country to go from one to the other. I always leave it on the country horns. They do sound sweet.
