Why is it so hard to find bedsides for a fleetside box? Seems most parts suppliers have stepside boxes and even cameo models but I haven't been able to find but the front panel tailgate and stake pockets for a fleetside. does anyone know where I can fid box sides? maybe i'll just have to drive a "flatbed" for awhile.

Mar-K is working on '58/59 fleet bed sides. I don't know of any other vendors/mfgs. that sell or produce these parts.

Keep a sharp eye out for fleetside trailers. Maybe you'll be able to talk somebody out of it.

Shipping a step bedside is one box. A SS fender, another box. A long bed fleetside bedside is a whole helluva lot of cardboard!

thanks for the leads. I already have my side panels in the shop and have begun to really assess the rust damage. Lots of good metal left so it should be a success in the long run.
Mar-k said they have no production date in the near term. they have however given them a part # if that means any thing.

the stepsides are repro'd because they fit 20 or more years of trucks, but the 58/9 fleet is unique to those years, and not a huge number of them made - every other series of fleet is specific to the years as the bedsides match the feature lines on the cab - I found a NOS 58/9 fleet bedside a few years ago at one of the body metal suppliers . . . . . $1000.00 for the drivers side only - that'll buy a lot of time at a bodyshop!
