Saw a show the other night called Americarna they show this, 1948 1 ton delivery panel in storage from graceland say elvis, used it to sneak out the back gate, maybe so
However my question is, the guy said, they only knew, of 1
Other 1 ton delivery that exists today what about this, you guys will know if that's, right I have a, hard time . Believing that there's only one other one anywhere ,maybe I am wrong but that's the story just thought I would find, out from the guys, who know ??

As we know, what they are referring-to as a "panel van" would be a panel truck.

It is an older model (probable 1948, as they state) that has an 1954/55 hood bird (Elvis probably got it before it was released to the public).

Elvis "Van" - at about minute 3:30

Does anyone know a link to the entire episode/show? The link above is to an interview with the show host.

Here are a few other examples of the only one still in existence? (I recall someone saying that only 300 were made?) thumbs_up grin

I don't know, but I don't think the presleys had any money in 1948 however they did say in the show, that his . Dad, was the, one . Who got it be interesting to know, the story though
Only 300 made, huh that would make it pretty rare,

Only 300 made is a joke on what is often placed in for-sale ads.

Saying only 300 made is a stupid/silly as saying they only know of 1 in existence today.

Obviously they do not know much about how many are in existence today, and they do not know the correct name of that model "Panel truck" (not a "panel van", which could also be mistaken to mean a sedan delivery "van").

As usual, I am just being a jerk about trying to use correct/meaningful terms/names.

Panel or rare sedan delivery starts at about 16.25

Elvis' "rare" panel

"Only one other known to exist" Yeah right.

The motor doesn't look correct to me. Isnt that a later model valve cover?

Guy said they'd been searching the Web for about 5 years for another "one ton" sedan delivery- no wonder he can't find one!

The motor does have the later model valve cover. The guy described the panel as being exactly as it came from the factory!
