So then can I modify my original steering wheel to a smaller diameter? safely? Like cut the spokes, and attach a newer wheel rim?
I don't need tilt column, or column auto shift, so I was thinking the original column would be fine.

Possibly later ones will fit as well. I used a 3 spoke wheel from a Fiero. It has a similar look to the stock wheel but considerably smaller.
