I ran new wires for tail lights and turn signals. Also installed new 2 bulb tail lights and new grounds. Everything works except the brake lights. When I pull out the brake light switch on the flasher the rear flashers flash. With the switch off the brake lights don't work when you depress the brake petal. I also rewired the brake switch.
Does anyone have an idea what I should try next?

I had some issues too when I rewired all the cables to the lights. They were caused by a bad ground on the steering column. So check all the grounds!
Edit: Or maybe just a bad brake switch. you could test it by taking it out, and connect it directly to a bulb from the battery. and also connect the -side.

I believe the '52 is connected the same as my '38 in that the terminal is on the light switch.

The instructions stated that when the rear knob is pulled out the brake lights stay on. When I pull it out the lights flash like emergency flashers. Does anyone know the true function of this knob?
