For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 126 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 126 | Prior to restoration, the nose piece on my hood (and the grill too) was slightly "leaning" to the driver's side. Now that the grill is restored and a new (off junker) "nose" piece on truck, when looking at the truck there is a gap between the "wing" off the hood and the nose. Any thoughts? New hood hinge? Brace up hood hinge? | | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 888 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 888 | Didn't happen on mine but think there is only a few adjustments. I would check the shims under the radiator mount. You may gain some movement/adjustment there. Also on the V piece connected to radiator and firewall you may have some adjustment in and out. Hope this helps. Have fun and good luck Dan | | | | | Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 126 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 126 | Thanks. Nose piece now looks straight. Left hood side tucks against it nicely. Right side has 1/4 inch gap. I'll try adjusting back near firewall.
