Trying to mount my window channel brackets and although the passenger side went off without a hitch, it seems as though I am missing an upper bracket mount on the drivers side. It mounts fine at the bottom with the two sheet metal screws. Was this top mount spot welded in or does it secure with hardware, any source for this upper mount, thanks HUGH

They attach the same on both sides (there is a RH & LH) as shown. There is no additional bracket? Perhaps you could post a picture illustrating your difficulty?

In short my channel brackets mount at the bottom with two sheet metal screws and also mount at the top with one screw. This worked fine on my passenger side. I also mounted the bottom of the bracket with two screws on my drivers side, the problem is there is no where to put the top screw as the small inner mount is missing. I don't really want to have to undo the passenger side to see what this top bracket looks like as it was a bit of a pain to line everything up during the install this past weekend, also have no way to take pics. Thank you so much for ur response.

Also on my 52 the top screw mount is internal, your pic shows an external top mounting.

It is GM's pic, used more to illustrate the mounting points than an exact. The brackets changed in 1951 with the new Venti-pane doors but the screw locations are consistent location wise with a couple minor changes (they are still RH/LH specific). If you are missing the top piece as described you will need to fabricate something as the inner spot welded door parts are not reproduced. The 51-55 1st Series is shown below:

I have been tossing around a few ideas, fabrication's starting to come easy, well easier. I really like that special hardware section at Lowes, again thanks for your quick response.
