Hi Snowdog,

I went the other way and put 53 inner fenders on my 55 first series. The fit was great. Sounds like you are going for it. Look forward to hearing how it goes.

Does anyone know what is the difference between the 47-53 and the 54/55 inner fenders? Is it simply the holes (for clips) for different wiring for the parking lamps?

TRUST me. You are NOT alone. There is something clearly wrong with most, if not all of us! smile

I'm pleased to hear that the 53 inner fender will fit a 54', most of the catalogs show 47-53. Thanks for the information!

tclederman: I would be glad to compare pics of a 47-53 against my 54 3600 and attempt to identify the differences, if that would help.

All I have are 1954 inner fenders. There is not enough detail in the vendors-photos of the reproduction 47-53 inner fenders to allow a comparison.

Maybe someone will post links to 47-53 photos?

e brake : parking brake?

1947 was the only 47-55 year with the different 3100 parking brake. That would not explain a difference between 48-53 and 54/55 inner fenders. My guess is the vendors do not know that the 1947 left front inner fender was different?

I will do a side by side comparison when I take apart the nose and post what I find. I'm sure there are some extra holes or clips that were added
