Looking to add this safety upgrade to my truck, what is out there? Are there original options or is everything aftermarket?

No factory option I'm aware of for trucks. Anything out there would be aftermarket. You can find original aftermarket hazard flasher setups on ebay, but they tend to be very expensive. Most of them also do not list as being compatible with trucks before 1960. I don't recall the exact sit, but I did find one that showed how to make your own, if you're not adverse to doing some fabrication.

Signal-Stat Flarestat 105 switches were offered by GM as a dealer added accessory.

Depending on how the rest of your turn signals and lights are wired up this site I've used a reference on my own truck.

The hazard lights set up is at bottom of the page.

Those are one of the style of flashers I saw on Ebay. Even used ones are running a bit on the high side, average starting bids are $35-45. NOS are almost always $150 or more.
