I guess the painter had a hard time wiping that spot down before final color. I'm thinking about old weathered tongue and groove siding.

It must be a New England thing....perhaps a take on the West Coast Woodie? My 48, which was last registered in Connecticut, had wood on the bedsides and actually had wooden running boards. It's 1/4 in plywood Carl on the sides, not T&G, however if I go back with it, thinking of switching over to Hardi board all round.

Even kept the slant edge on top in wood. The the bed floor is designed to lift out. I only built it to be temporary, but everybody likes it so much I desired to keep it now. I also uesed the splash pan's, running boards and fenders.
