| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 150 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 150 | Some where in this forum I read that the truck beds for a 66 step-side short bed date back further then 64 and it goes back to the late 50's. Does anyone know the year that they are the same. A guy has the bed from a 56 for sell and I need a tailgate. I asked the same question recently and mar k turned me on to their website with much reference material. Double check. The hole line up on angle braces and supports differ some. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | The beds were basically the same from '55 2nd-'87, with '54 and '55 1rst being very similar. Tailgates and front bed panels are the same '54-'87.

GMC Pauls look under : 47-72 bed wood info. If you have more specific questions, ask the folks in the Making a Stovebolt bed forum. The people that have really taken their trucks apart, pass by there from time to time. Also, Mar-K has a tech that answers questions in there.
