I have a T connection on my 1959 front brake lines (drivers side)that connects the hard lines to the flex front left wheel.

The issue I'm having is that the bolt that goes thru the brass connector and connects to the flex line has slop and can move when all three connections are made. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for any guidance here. I'm using the brass fitting and bolt that was on the truck when I bought it.

Do you have the flat brass washers, grooved like a record? You need 2. One for each side of the block. If you don't the bolt will be too long.

As Steve posted, you should put a copper/brass washer on both sides of the block. They do not have to be grooved.

NAPA and other parts-places sell soft copper/brass washers with different inner/outer diameters and thicknesses. They make the seal on both sides of the brass block, and they allow the bolt to seat properly.

Thanks Steve and Tim for the helpful information and link to the washers.
I do not have the washers and will have to buy them.

Here's a link to the connection. http://swenracer.smugmug.com/Trucks/59-Apache/i-6MjhxZT/0/O/CA_12161419045990.jpg

I think what you need it this one
http://www.thehollisterroadcompany.com/media/Brakes/brass/BrakeT.jpg
it has a nut that holds it to the frame and splits off the lines for the front.
