i went with one of my freinds the other day to look at this 54 chevy 3/4 ton he is intrested in buying and i noticed his bed isnt as long as my 54 3/4s bed.so i come to find out i have the 97" bed.well my bed is long gone.it was beyond repair.so my plan was to scrimp and purchase 3/4 bed sides from chevy duty.but i think they only sell the 89" sides.so my question is if my frame is larger than another 54.i thought if it was i might cut off the end of the frame and take of a couple inchs and weld it back on.but i hope the frames were all simular.and that the 89" bed will fit with no problem.all help is welcome.thanks smile

Buy 3 side and splice peices in from the 3rd into the 2 your gonna use. Or cut the bedsides you've got to section in extentions on the 2 new bedsides. Sounds easy, donut? grin
