Well ttt8, I don't know what the original size was. When I took my bed apart, the PO had used pipe fittings to hold the bed up..... Old post had several opinions on what would work.
52PU said in a post last May: “My Chevy Duty Replacement blocks are. 1+13/16" high x 2" wide x 2+1/4" Length. The length part rests on the top of the frame, then drill hole down the center of the top. The overall height with thin rubber cushions on either side of the block is 2+1/16". You would not want the blocks any shorter than 1+3/4" high because you will have problems getting on the running board splash aprons.”
Fatboy said: “the block is made from hardwood. [most likely oak ] and it is 2 5/16 " square. The grain runs up and down and the hole is centered.”
If you want to try these 2 x 2 blocks, email me at
[email protected] and I'll send you some.
