Getting ready to put the front fenders back onto my 1950 3800. Did the front fenders originally have welting where the cab and the fender meet? Any opinions on whether it should have welting?

Thanks - Bruce

The front fenders originally came with welting, the rears did not by most accounts.

There is also some felt for the inner fender to fender surface and a welt that goes around the filler plates between firewall and fender. Most of the vendors sell a kit with all the items in them.

Gotcha! Thanks Brad. I have the fender felts and the foam for around the filler plates, all set to go. Just wrapping up on the inner fender braces
