I converted my 53 chevy truck to 12v . I ordered a positive battery cable but I think it's the original 6v cable because it pretty heavy duty is it ok to run that cable with a 12 v battery ?

As long as the insulation is still good on it, if using for positive cable, don't want bare + cable rubbing on frame.... Good luck. Jim
