There are only 3 posts, I get no power with the key all the way to the right and can only start it when the key is in the middle position (accessory). If it is a new switch, does it have letter labels next to the posts on the rear of it?

Gary, the switch in my '53 works exactly the same way (to the right=off, straight up=on).
