Were the interiors of these trucks ever painted body color?

I sometimes see them for sale on CL or Ebay...looking like original paint outside, but body color inside. Sort of assumed that silverish color was the right one.

I think they are all one color on the interior from 42-46 big and small. The vintage truck suppliers have it.

My 42 1.5 interior is all black, a member argued that is was not possible, but I can tell my truck interior was never painted.

By checking for layers of paint, Unless the whole interior was stripped down to bare metal at some point, "very unlikely for a dump truck", my truck interior was originally painted black.
