It is a fine rust color presently. Also, was a hammer finish used? The dash paint for 47-53 is a semi-flat, gray-brown, lacquer, with a slight metallic tinge. As far as I know, only the heater used a hammer-finish, and that is more of a brown with a silver or bronze tinge. Chevy Duty sells it in acrylic enamel.
