Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2014 Posts: 92 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2014 Posts: 92 | Went to visit the guys who are supposed to be re-assembling my suspension, driveline, etc. Theytold me that as the disassembled everything they took extensive pictures so they would have a guide to putting it all back together. Well, the guy's cell phone crashed and none of the pics were backed up!!
So I've been running around trying to get pictures of assembled front suspension with not much luck so far.
Can anyone point me to suspension pictures, or, better yet, any exploded views of how all this goes back together? of particular interest would be the how the tie rods, drag links, brake backing plate and spindles go back together. thanks | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | Do you have a copy of a 1958 Shop Manual and/or the 55-59 Factory Assembly Manual? Maybe someone who does will tell you page numbers and/or post links to appropriate pages. Neither of those documents are on-line.
Learn a lesson for the future: if a shop is taking photos with a phone, ask them to email the photos to you. I feel your pain, regarding the lost photos.
Good luck,

I forgot to mention that I have both the assembly and shop manual but the pics are so poor as to be unuseable. I'll check the online one.
