I installed a rebuilt dual action fuel pump in April and it began to leak at the lower flange last month. I tightened the screws but it continued. Concerned that it may be leaking inside, I replaced the pump with another from a vender and changed the oil. The new pump has started to leak at the lower flange as well. Any ideas what may be causing this? It is not dripping but the gasket and area around the screws is wet. If so, check and make sure the draft tube is drafting. Easiest way would be to blow air into the draft tube exit pipe and see if it blows through into the engine.
If the draft tube is clogged up it won't relieve internal pressure and this pressure will find its way out, most times through seal and gasket locations.

I used a new fuel pump/block gasket. I assume the draft pipe is the hose or tubing from the "out" port? I'll check to make sure it is clean and has air coming out. | | |
