I have a 53, been checking around and have been asked if I have a 216 or 235 engine. Thought it was a 216. engine serial number by dip stick does not seem to match numbers I have found on line. Does it matter 216 or 235 for the bearings and can you recommend a vender? Thanks for your suggestion. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | I would like to add at this time that it would be a miracle if the crank is not ruined/ needing reground. Running without oil pressure for 10 minutes can do a lot of damage to it. You could be lucky but I would think about that 235 swap you mentioned.
