OK, ... on my 1950 5-window 3100 I'm looking for some help in trying to research my engine, I was told it's a 216 but I'm not certain about the last number/letter, it's hard to make out. ...it could possibly be an I,T or a 1. Serial# HBA94339I, ...can you eliminate any one of these 3? Where there ever Letters at the end?

943391-1000 = 942391st engine out of that plant that year.

That engine sequence number is quite large. It most likely will have a late-in-the-year date/month.

Find and post the head date casting code and the block date casting code.

It looks like in the picture that the original serial number has been ground down and re-stamped, so you could have anything.
More pictures of the engine would help.

A = built in Flint
94339I = production number

The letter eye (I) means the number one (1)

My engine number has 7 production number digits.
starts with 0
It was built in July, late year production run, usually means the engine would have a high production number.

Engine casting codes will give you the month & year engine was assembled. Also cubic inch.
