Just thought I'd show you guys what a 19 year old did with his 3600.

I like the way he thinks.

That's pretty slick. I've had a similar idea bouncing around in my head for while, except with 1/2 ton parts from a '99-'14 Silverado 1500.

It's by far better than anything I've came up with. It's actually better than anything I've even seen anyone else come up with to be quite honest.

Those calipers he's using are huge and more than up to the task for any 3600, 3800, or 4100 truck.

That looks like a nice solution.

Any idea if the bore in the rotor fits the hub snugly?

If anyone following along I would recommend reasonable care in enlarging the stud holes as the stud location is what centers the wheel on the hub. And you want to keep a true bolt pattern so the wheel fits and all lug nuts torque up and carry the load equally.

The square part of the bracket might could be larger and thicker, wouldn't hurt if it still fits.

One idea I had is the whole thing could be burned out to shape and bends made in a press barke. Then only a small amount of welding to tie the two large "wings" together. May or may not make for a stronger product. A good steel supplier/fabricating shop should be able to do that without much cost.

Nice work! Do you now need a proportioning valve between the new front discs and the rear Hucks? Would you consider making up a set of brackets for sale? I could do the rest but don't have access to a machine shop or welder. Thanks

I've talked to Nick a few times, if I remember correctly, he enlarged the studs to the same as the '03 van that the rotors came off of. He also drilled the rotor so the set screw will hold the rotor in place.

He's actually spent alot of time on the project and laid everything out in a CAD program, including the hub.

I could cut out the brackets on my CNC plasma table, but would want to just pierce center holes rather than try and cut them out. May have to talk to him about getting a cad file of the parts.
