I'm about to have the carb rebuilt but before doing this I wanted to make sure it would work well with my 194. The carb is a Rochester Monojet . When I ran the numbers off the carb (17057314) i cant find any info of it being mounted on a 194. Smallest block I found was 250. Do you guys think it'll be an issue pairing these up?

I think it will work OK. The mixture on a mono- jet can be tailored by adjusting the metering rod height.

It was a poorly-designed substitute for a good carburetor when it was new, and it hasn't improved with age.
One version of the MonoJet was used on the 140 cubic inch Vega engine, which would be jetted too rich for a 194 I-6. The carb calibrated for the 250 would run a little lean if it was used on the 194. Cross-reference the carb part number to see what its original application was to see if you need to jet it up or down.

My 230 has the 1 brl Rochester, about the only problem I've had is the choke stove and spring rusted out on the exhaust manifold that controlled the automatic choke... Bought one of those electronic replacements, so-so in working...

They worked out real good for me. The newer ones with the electric choke was the best. The older ones need to retain the matched manifold for the choke to work right. The manual choke models were best.
