A Monojet makes a good fishing weight at the end of a trotline. It was a poorly-designed substitute for a good carburetor when it was new, and it hasn't improved with age.

One version of the MonoJet was used on the 140 cubic inch Vega engine, which would be jetted too rich for a 194 I-6. The carb calibrated for the 250 would run a little lean if it was used on the 194. Cross-reference the carb part number to see what its original application was to see if you need to jet it up or down.
