Thanks, Charlie | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | Standard color in 1948 was Forester Green. Conventional truck wheels were Forester Green. There were stripes on 16" rims (Cream Medium on Forester Green wheels) There were no stripes on 15" rims | | | | | Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 14 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 14 | My truck appears to be Windsor Blue. Would the wheels be this color as well as striped (16")? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | Tim is that spec sheet from one of K.Hardy's list or have you scoured that up for your library?

As noted on my webpage, I took that information from the GM Heritage Center (as did Keith Hardy). | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | My truck appears to be Windsor Blue. The other colors and stripes are under the RPO (regular production options). Mike | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 |

There was a Fathom Green wheel RPO for 16" wheels on Fathom Green trucks. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 14 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 14 | Okay, so it sounds like black wheels w/o stripes, correct?

RPO simply means the original purchaser could pay whatever that option cost and get wheels that matched the body color with pin stripes from the factory or he could have gone with the standard black wheels with no stripes.
