The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk Firewall cable routing

So I think my 1950 3800 had been rode hard and put away wet. Below is a pic of the firewall and how the cables were routed - looking to identify which hole is proper for each cable. Care to take a look and correct me if I'm wrong?

In the pic, from left to right, I'm thinking:
1) Throttle and choke cables
2) Speedo cable
3) Temp Sensor
4) Oil pressure line
5) ??? (Fuel gauge sender?)

I believe the hole you have marked Speedo cable is correct.
The hole you have marked throttle and choke cables, also handles the temp sensor and oil pressure line. The grommet handles all four. The hole marked ??? is for the vacuum rubber line to your wiper motor.
The two holes marked temp sensor and oil pressure don't exist on my '51, so I think they may not be original. Let's see what others think.

The last two holes mentioned above may be where the original inside dashboard brace attached to the firewall. All the others,
Lightholder identified correctly based on my 1950 3100.

That makes sense. Revised pic at the following:

The dashboard brace actually bolts in much higher on the firewall, the two bolts at ten o'clock from the voltage regulator.
