I am assuming the angle strips welded to the sides were body color, the other strips were probably black like the boards. I must be just about done if I am worrying about this!

Did you use gloss or semi-gloss coal tar to "paint" the boards  . Tim | | | | | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 21 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 21 | After discussion with the local paint guys I used a flat black porch paint that was recommended as being pretty tough. After sanding the boards I put it on without primer per their instructions. It looks real nice. I have the same paint on my porch (not black) and it has held up pretty well.
