Good morning guys n gals.
I've swapped out my 64 two-ton rear axle for a Dana 80 and didn't really want to just scrap the rear.
What's it worth with tires (3good 1worn)
Most likely needing to be gone through and rebuilt.

Thanks E

About scrap unless the tires and brake parts have plenty of life left, then still probably worth about scrap. You could hope to find someone restoring a similar model truck and give it away?

...Yeah, I know.. I even thought of some who might be building a rat-rod..
Just didn't want to scrap it. BUT just made a couple hundred taking one load.
BUT, like it most ALWAYS happens with me, as soon as I get home from the scrap yard or the next day, I get calls saying "HEY IM INTERESTED IN _______" I got cash!!

Dernit..

thanks E

Did the rear make noise? Excessive back-lash? Why does it need gone through,(besides brakes and wheel bearings?) Is it a single speed ,or 2-speed rear? Vacuum,or electric,(if 2-speed)? Single speeds are good for about 45 M.P.H.,and not very desirable. On the other hand, somebody out there is looking for a 2-speed,to replace the single speed, for obvious reasons.. Try posting in the "Swap meet: Parts For Sale" section. Ask your price,$300/B.O.?,then you may find a buyer!
