As for the asking price, I bet they have way more than that into it, it looks like a high quality build.

Full nascar chassis, engine and trans...plus all the labor. They have a lot in it, but being in nascar country it's probably all used stuff, so although they have a lot in it, I'm sure they're still making money there.
