| | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 99 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2011 Posts: 99 | I am replacing the outer cowl panels on my 55.1 truck. The replacement panel is made by keyparts. I am having dificulty getting it to fit properly. The indentation at the top where the hood fits does not seem to be the same as original. I have spent a lot of time trying to get it to fit and not having luck. Should I try another brand? Which brands have been a better fit? Should cut the indentation an eeld in a piece of steel to have it match the existing indent.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. This is my first project doing bodywork myself so I am clueless.

When I have replaced these less-than-perfect panels. I screwed them in place until final hood fitment was completed so that I could move them around if necessary, then welded them up.
