I have purchased the crossmembers and front and rear tail gate new. I want to DP90 the parts. What is the best way to prepare the bare metal? Would wiping down with lacquer thiner do the job? Some sort of metal prep? Don't want to go to the trouble of sand blasting if I can help it. Any info ? Many thanks in advance Zeker6

Then on any part that you are "just painting" like a frame componant you can paint also without sanding! That is the way to paint "hard parts".

You could wipe with lacquer thinner to get a lot of grease off or something but then be sure to use a real wax and grease remover. Then sand or scuff good with a red 3M scuff pad.
